Ford Philippines will be launching the new generation F-150 very soon, but this time You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now., an engine which most Filipino buyers prefer.
There are a few questions that remain though: the first is when will Ford launch the new F-150 Diesel, the second is the price, and the third is... well, let's save that for last.
Starting with the first, Ford Philippines will officially launch the new F-150 sometime this November. According to our sources, dealerships will have the full-size pickup truck available for release by the end of the month. From what we were told, a few customers have already pre-ordered units, so you might have to get in line.
Moving on to the important question on many customers' minds: how much will the 2022 F-150 cost?

We were told that there's only one variant available for the new model too – F-150 Lariat Diesel 4x4. There's no word yet whether other variants, including non-diesel models, will be made available locally in the future.
But what can we expect from the PH-spec 2022 F-150? Powering the F-150 is Ford's 3.0-liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel that produces 250 horsepower and 597 Nm torque. It's then paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox which can send power to all-four wheels via a 4x4 system. Being the Lariat trim, expect automatic LED headlights with DRLs, 18-inch wheels, a two-bar chrome grille, and LED taillights as standard.
Inside, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster will greet the driver and is paired with a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The seats and sidings will also be lined with leather to give the pick-up a more upscale look and feel.
The third question, however, is one that few people here actually ask: what is the emissions rating of the Ford F-150 diesel?

While newer technologies have reduced the emissions of diesel vehicles, the auto industry is already moving away from diesel after the issues that came about during dieselgate. But given the popularity of diesel still, that may take a while.
Are you excited about the new F-150? This will be the first time a diesel-powered F-150 will be arriving in the country officially from Ford, albeit with a big price jump.
