The all-new Subaru BRZ made its debut in North America last year, and some lucky customers are already enjoying their units. It's the same case in Japan. But what about the Philippines? Motor Image Pilipinas said last year that several models will be arriving this year, and one of those is the new BRZ. Specifically, they said that it would debut in Q4 2021.

While Subaru Philippines may have been relatively quiet this year, it seems they'll be right on schedule with the BRZ's arrival. If you visit the Subaru Philippines website, you'll notice that the previous-generation BRZ is no longer available. And if you visit the You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now., the all-new BRZ is there. Best of all there's already a price for it too.

Assuming the price on the website is final, the 2022 BRZ will start at PHP 2,399,000 for the 2.4 MT variant and PHP 2,499,000 for the 2.4 AT EyeSight. For comparison, the outgoing BRZ 2.0 AT retails for PHP 2,158,000; surprisingly not that big of an increase.

Unfortunately, full details of the Philippine-spec BRZ have yet to be revealed. Clicking on the explore tab brings you to the website of the outgoing model. However, there is a separate You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. We wouldn't be surprised if some dealers are even accepting pre-orders already.

Compared to previous-generation BRZ, the new model adopts a more rounded shape and a revised interior. Under the hood, it uses a new naturally aspirated 2.4-liter flat-four that produces 228 PS and 249 Nm torque, 28 PS and 44 Nm more than the previous 2.0-liter mill. As mentioned earlier, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic will be available. However, it seems Subaru's EyeSight safety system will only be available on the automatic variant.

With the price listed and the teaser website up, it seems Motor Image Pilipinas will launch the new BRZ this December. But what about Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and the GR 86? Upon checking the TMP website, the old 86 is still listed, and they have yet to make a release or a teaser either.
Whatever the case, we're certainly excited about the new BRZ's arrival. If you are interested, why not sign up on the teaser site now.
