So pwede na magswitch ng network without losing your number due to Mobile Number Portability Act. You can switch from DITO to SMART, TNT, Sun, Globe, TM and soon GOMO without losing your number and likewise for other networks din. There are four ways na pwede niyo makuha yung new number: thru delivery, by visiting nearest stores (SMART/Globe), accredited stores (7/11 etc.), and then by using your extra sim card which is yung ginawa ko.

Kaninang umaga lang ako nagapply for porting at ang ginamit ko is yung extra DITO sim ko na nakatambak na sa sobrang hina ng net lately. Dahil medyo nasa bundok din kami, baka matagalan lang din yung delivery time ng SIM kung nagkataon kaya ni-try ko yung option na gumamit ng pre-existing SIM which is yung TNT ko na bago lang din. BTW I'm switching from DITO to SMART.

Bale pag naging successful na yung porting, magmumukhang hybrid na yung TNT SIM ko, haha. TNT SIM using a DITO Number ported to SMART. Chopsuey, hahaha. Feedback nalang mga ka-PHC at sabay sabay nalang tayo maghintay kung okay ba yung ganto in the long run. Thanks PHC!

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Once your MNP application is received and confirmed by your preferred network provider, the activation process will take about 24 to 48 hours.

According to Smart, there will be a maximum of 4 hours of service interruption (no voice, SMS & data) to complete the activation of your new subscription. All subscriptions, prepaid load balance, rolled-over data MB, GigaPoints, Value Added Services (VAS), and other add-ons will automatically expire once your MNP application is approved and activated. For Internal Porting, your MVP Rewards will be retained.

Smart says that there’s no limit to the number of times you can apply for number porting, but you may only be allowed to apply again after 60 days from the last successful porting activation.
Pag tumawag si Smart, within 48 hours processed na ang application mo, with 4 hrs na no signal from network. Yun lang guys!

Pero pwede mo pa magamit yung dito sim mo lods?

Btw thank you sa info lodi
Mula dun sa mga nabasa ko, mukhang hindi na po since mapapalitan na po yung ICCID Number which is yung classifier ng hardware na unique per SIM. Kaya merong iniissue din na bagong SIMs after porting.

thanks for the info ts. My concern is what if I want to switch from TNT(Data Blocked) to Globe mababalik kaya ang data? hm
Bawal yun kailangan malinis ang sim at walang fraud na ginawa. Kaya makikita nila yan kung yung sim na yun may nilabag kaya hindi pwede.
