One of the easiest ways to learn about blockchain is to earn it by playing games. Because it's playing, you won't feel like you're learning something as complex or evolving as cryptocurrency. Plus, it's fun!

How do I earn by playing games?
Womplay is built on Wombat, which accesses the Telos and EOS blockchain. By playing any game you find in Womplay, you'll accumulate Wombucks. If you play regularly, you'll be able to cash out all the Wombucks you've accumulated for the week into EOS tokens.

Womplay provides different activities that, if you manage to complete, altogether will accrue a significant amount of Wombucks:

• Quick Play. These are mini-games with easy earning potentials. Choose a quick play and play it on your browser. You can only earn a total of 300 Wombucks from quick plays each day.

• Installing Games. For every game you install, you’ll be rewarded with 1000 Wombucks.

• In-Games. Completing in-game actions will also earn you Wombucks: reaching milestones, using items, making purchases, joining a guild, completing tutorials, etc.

• Daily Quests. There is a list of daily quests that will earn you additional Wombucks. Access the scroll icon on the upper-right of your browser.

• Timed Challenges. Challenges are your chance to win EOS payouts by competing with other players. The type of challenge will be different from time to time, but you’ll always be able to see how you progress on the leader board.

How do I cash out my Wombucks?
Once you start playing, you'll start earning. Join a prize pool to convert your Wombucks into EOS. All of your Wombucks for the week will be counted as your reward. All of them! The amount you earn from the pool will then be transferred into your Wombat wallet every Friday at 13:00 CET (Central European Time).

What you'll be earning by the end of your week depends on two things: (1) the total amount of Wombucks submitted and (2) the number of shares you have in it.

Let's say that you have accumulated a total of 10,000 Wombucks. The total contribution from other challengers amounts to 100,000. Your share, then, is 10%.

The reward pool & your contribution
Therefore, the amount of EOS you can take home with you will also depend on how many players are joining the prize pool.

Since Wombat was introduced fairly recently in September of last year, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing more and more players joining the pool.

How do I get started?
In short, you need to register with Womplay and get a Wombat wallet to store your earnings. In addition, you will also need a crypto local wallet that you can use.

Step 1 - Register with Womplay
You can go to their website at womplay.io and join from there.

Or, you can sign up with my link here: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.

To register, you just need to log in with one of your social media accounts. You can sign up with Google, Facebook, Twitter, or your Apple account.

Step 2 - Choose a game to play
Once you're signed in, take a look at the game selection and choose a fun game to play.

Womplay's vast collection includes all sorts of games, from quick plays (the one I mentioned earlier), racing, casual, puzzle, strategy, and they keep adding new games along the way.

I've been playing on and off since November last year. During that time, I've seen many new games being added. There's the elves city-builder Elvenar, where humans and elves can coexist in a magical world. There's the superhero RPG game Hero Zero, where you invent a character to fight villains and criminal bosses.

Click on one game and read more about how you will earn from that game.

Step 3 - Start playing
Don't just play one game. Try the quick plays, too. These are browser games that don't require any downloading. You can earn up to 300 Wombucks daily in total for them.

Every day, there will be a quest waiting for you, and you'll be able to earn from there too.

Remember though, the only way you will earn from game installation and in-game actions is to install the game using the link provided by Womplay.

Just a few days ago Womplay also listed The Rats, a game where we raise a family of rats. It's oddly entertaining and can be quite intense at times.

Try to earn from The Rats, too.
Once you've installed The Rats, you earn 1000 Wombucks. Complete the tutorial and earn 3000 Wombucks. Try to reach level 5 to earn another 5000 Wombucks. There's also a daily 1000 Wombucks you get from daily gameplay, and you can play as many games as you like.

Your earnings from playing games are not limited, so you can definitely try to earn a full-time income as a gamer there.

Step 4 - Get a Wombat Wallet
Now that you've accumulated quite a handful of Wombucks, you need to get yourself a Wombat wallet. Wombat wallet is not as complicated as other crypto wallets, so it's suitable if you're just starting to get to know blockchain.

Step 4.1 - From the Wombat Wallet site, select a download link.

Go to getwombat.io to get your wallet.

It is imperative that you use the Wombat wallet to keep your EOS earnings from Womplay, because it's the only compatible wallet.

We can use the wallet as an iOS app, an Android app, or a Chrome plug-in.

Step 4.2 - Log in with your social media account.

Use the same social media account you used to log in to Womplay. Remember to confirm that you’ve read the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Step 4.3 - Select your backup location.

Wombat doesn’t require you to remember the recovery phrases. It just lets you store the private key as encrypted data in your Google Drive or Dropbox. Decide where you want to keep them, and then continue with the next step. If you don’t have a Dropbox or Google Drive, remember to set them up before you sign up for a wallet.

Step 4.5 - Set up your PIN number.

You’ll need to decide on a 6-digit PIN number to keep your private key safe on the device. This combination you do need to memorize. But if you can’t be bothered to remember the combination, then do what I do. Use the fingerprint or Face ID feature to secure your account from your app.

Step 4.6 - Choose an account username.

Follow the naming convention and if your username isn’t already taken, you’ll be able to use that for your wallet.

What can I do with my EOS?
EOS operates the way other blockchain systems operate. With the EOS you have accumulated, there are so many things you can do. You’ll be able to buy in-game currency and boosts. You can also convert your EOS into fiat currency, or send it to your other wallets, such as Coinbase.
