Krizle Grace Mago, the Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. employee who admitted to the tampering of expiration dates of government-procured face shields, skipped the continuation of the Senate inquiry into the alleged overpriced COVID-19 supplies on Thursday.
"She is not here. Yes, sir. She’s missing, neither has she emailed the blue ribbon that she was going to attend," Atty. Noel Quimbo, director general of the Senate blue ribbon committee, told committee chairman Senator Richard Gordon.
"Our resource persons are requested to email us beforehand so that we can provide them the link [to the virtual hearing]. Neither has she emailed us."
Gordon then requested the Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms to locate Mago's whereabouts.
"She’s a very material witness. She’s more than just somebody who appears to be a clerk. I think she knows a lot more and she does a lot more for Pharmally,” Gordon said of Mago.
Answering the queries of the senators, Pharmally corporate treasurer and secretary Mohit Dargani said he was not aware of Mago’s whereabouts.
He said he last spoke to Mago was on Saturday morning, a day after she testified to the committee about the tampering.
Mago, during the previous hearing, said she tampered with the certificates of the "substandard" face shields upon orders from Dargani, who denied the accusation.

The witness, a Pharmally employee, said they were tasked to change the year in the certificates attached to face shields from 2020 to 2021.
The “substandard” face shields were also being repacked and delivered to the government.
