Why Don't Jehovah's Witnesses Respond to All Accusations Made Against Them?

Jehovah’s Witnesses follow the Bible’s advice not to respond to all accusations and instances of ridicule. For example, a Bible proverb says: “The one who corrects a ridiculer invites dishonor.” (Proverbs 9:7, 8; 26:4) Rather than being pulled into quarreling by an undue concern over false accusations, we focus on pleasing God.—Psalm 119:69.

Of course, there is “a time to be silent and a time to speak.” (Ecclesiastes 3:7) We respond to sincere people who are interested in finding out the truth, but we avoid getting into pointless arguments. We thus follow the teachings and examples of Jesus and the early Christians.

Jesus made no answer when he was falsely accused before Pilate. (Matthew 27:11-14; 1 Peter 2:21-23) Likewise, Jesus did not respond to accusations of being a drunkard and a glutton. Instead, he let his actions speak for themselves, in harmony with the principle: “Wisdom is vindicated by its results.” (Matthew 11:19, footnote) When the circumstances called for it, though, he boldly responded to those who slandered him.—Matthew 15:1-3; Mark 3:22-30.

Jesus taught his followers not to be discouraged by false accusations. He said: “Happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake.” (Matthew 5:11, 12) Yet, Jesus also said that when such accusations opened the way for his followers to give a witness, he would fulfill his promise: “I will give you words and wisdom that all your opposers together will not be able to resist or dispute.”—Luke 21:12-15.

The apostle Paul counseled Christians to avoid pointless disputes with opposers, describing such arguments as “unprofitable and futile.”—Titus 3:9; Romans 16:17, 18.

The apostle Peter encouraged Christians to defend their faith when possible. (1 Peter 3:15) Yet he recognized that this is often best done by action rather than by word. He wrote: “By doing good you may silence the ignorant talk of unreasonable men.”—1 Peter 2:12-15.

Pero anong klase po ba ng "pang-uusig" ang ginawa ng mga saksi sa mga Katoliko, kung may mai-memention ka lang naman kung sakali?

Ayon kasi sa Merriam-Webster Dictionary, ganito po ang meaning ng salitang persecute:

to treat (someone) cruelly or UNFAIRLY especially because of RACE or RELIGIOUS or political beliefs.

Tanong: Do we treat others unfairly and racially because of their religion?

No.

Actually, kami pa nga ang kumakatok at nagpupunta sa bahay ng mga tao anuman ang relihiyon nila, katoliko man sila o hindi, para mangaral sa kanila. Anumang bansa, lahi, o wika mayroon sila ay sinisikap namin silang kausapin, pangaralan at patotohanan. So, kung "nang-uusig" kami sa mga KATOLIKO dahil sa aming pangangaral, masasabi nga kayang "racial and unfairly treatment" yung aming pagsisikap na puntahan, kausapin, pangaralan at turuan sila tungkol sa salita ng Diyos?

So, saang part ng gawain namin sila pinepersecute?

Totoo naman ito. Pero napapaisip lang din po kasi ako kung paanong nangyari yung sinabi mo po dito na . . .

Hindi ko lang po kasi lubos maisip kung saang part or kung paano namin pinag-uusig ang mga KATOLIKO samantalang personally, ang mga kasama ko sa bahay ay mga KATOLIKO at ako lang ang nag-iisang SAKSI sa aming pamilya. Hindi ko alam kung UNINTENTIONALLY eh inuusig ko pala sila. Hindi ko talaga maisip po eh.

Pero kung iyan ay sa tingin mo lang naman eh pinepersecute namin ang mga KATOLIKO dahil sa mga post namin dito then nasa sa inyo naman po ang authority to delete or remove our posts here and message us para po alam din namin kung saang part kami may maling nagagawa at mapagsumikapan naming mabago iyon at maitama.

Okay lang po sana yan kung hindi niyo po tinukoy ang mga JW na nag persecute. Kaso po tinukoy niyo na kaming mga JW ay nangpe-persecute. Kaya ang tanong po sana namin ay sino at anong persecution or record ng persecution ang meron po kayo na ginawa naming mga JWs sa ibang tao?

Ang mga halimbawa po kasi ng persecution na ginagawa ng ibang religion o bansa kung saan ipinagbabawal ang paniniwala naming mga JWs ay tipong kinukulong, binubugbog, kinukuha ang mga properties ng walang pakundangan at walang makatuwirang dahilan, at iba pang mga pamimintang na walang basehan. Dati nga pinapatay pa e. So ang tanong po, kami po bang mga JWs ay ginawa ba namin yan sa iba?

Ano po bang salitang bokabularyo dapat ang tinutukoy niyo para magkaintindihan po tayo. Para fair po sa mga makakabasa din hehe

Ang mga halimbawa po kasi ng persecution na ginagawa ng ibang religion o bansa kung saan ipinagbabawal ang paniniwala naming mga JWs ay tipong kinukulong, binubugbog, kinukuha ang mga properties ng walang pakundangan at walang makatuwirang dahilan, at iba pang mga pamimintang na walang basehan. Aaaaaawww... Did I persecute you po ba sir admin? What did I do? I just asked you questions po or asking for your proofs kasi sinabi mo po mismo na 'we also have our fair shares of accusations and persecutions from your people' indicating na ni-persecute po namin kayo. So humihingi lang ako ng proof po sa iyo sir. Nagbigay pa nga po ako ng example kung anong klaseng persecution ang nararanasan naming mga JWs coming from other group/religion/specially countries where our beliefs are totally banned (but other religions are not).

Did I say harsh words to you? Parang hindi naman po. Purely tanong lang po yung ginawa ko and a bit of explanation hindi po ba?

So balik po ako sa tanong ko: Sino at anong persecution or record ng persecution ang meron po kayo na ginawa naming mga JWs sa ibang tao?
