What is the NTC Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 01-05-2019 about?​

The NTC MC No. 01-05-2019 is the government mandate defining the rules and regulations on the unlocking of mobile phones and devices for PTEs (Public Telecommunications Entity).

For Prepaid customers, the requirement for handset unlocking are the IMEI of the Globe-provided handset availed as a prepaid phone kit along with an active Globe mobile number.

For Postpaid and Prepaid customers:



The request can be made via Globe stores, hotline, and online through Gie of Globe on Facebook and Twitter.
