Let's be realistic here.
FOR FIRST TIMERS (with or without work experience) and NC II CERTIFICATE HOLDERS (without work experience)
In applying in a cruise ship agencies/companies, it is a MUST to have the following basic requirements:
*Know how to read. BASA BASA sa mga details ng postings.
*Passport
*Seaman's Book
*At least 2 years of working experience in 4 to 5 star hotel/resort or fine dining restaurant (advantage)
Sorry fresh grads, I don't mean to discourage you, pero, dapat we know our place where we should be. In a cruise ship industry, it is a MUST to have a work experience. So, please, instead of heading your way to any cruise ship agencies/companies, mas mabuting sa mga hotels or resorts or fine dining restaurant nalang kayo magpunta at mag-apply. Hotels, resorts, and restaurants has a lot of slots for fresh graduates. And, cruise ships are only giving a slots for those who are qualified for the position that meet the listed qualifications. Let's give ways to each other nalang po sana. For fresh graduates, there's no need to rush yourself. You're still young and still have a lot of time to earn enough working experience. Everything takes time and one step at a time lang para well-focused and organized ang plano natin sa buhay. Sorry sa mga fresh graduates or NC II certificate holders na walang work experience, pero let's be realistic here. No hard feelings lang sana. Mostly sa mga job fairs and open house recruitements, ang nangyayari ay mas madami pang nag apply na fresh graduates at wala pang work experience, at sobrang aga pa pumunta (well, that's a good start of yours their guys) pero kasi masasayang ang punta nyo dahil pauuwiin din kayo. It is because the very first thing that a recruiter will look into your application is your "WORK HISTORY" section. Heads up to those NC II holders. I don't mean to discourage or look you down. Sinasabi ko lang ang totoo.
"Open House Recruitment"
- ibig sabihin open sa lahat kahit first timer or ex-crew on-board. Details are always printed in the picture. Zoom In din pag may time. Qualifications is always printed in the posting. Zoom In ulit pag may time. Last year na open house ng RCL, andaming tao agad kahit 6am pa. Nung nag entertain na yung RCL ng applications, dun lang napagtanto na halos fresh graduates at kulang ang work experience or wala pang work experience ang karamihan dun. The thing is, may cut-off yan sila. Kawawa yung mga qualified applicants na hindi naka abot sa cut-off (well, dapat next time maagang pupunta) kasi nafill-in ng mga hindi qualified. I admire your courage and perseverance to apply, pero let's give way naman sana for those who are qualified because it is their slot. Again, don't be in a hurry. Earn more experience para maging qualified applicant din. Dahil walang "EASY LIFE o THUG LIFE" sa pagiging qualified applicant. Pinag hihirapan yan.
"Open House Recruitment for C1/D US Visa holder"
- for C1D holder applicants ito. Urgent hiring, immediate deployment. Mas maaga pa din pumunta mga wlang C1D US Visa. Yung mga meron, inabutan ng cut-off (how sad). Last year na for C1D holder open house nila, more than 50% ang pinauwi agad ng guard ng RCL kasi walang C1D. Well, still a good try. I'm not against to your perseverance and determination but, it is what it is. Pft!

"IT'S BUSINESS' NATURE TO CHOOSE STRICTLY A HIGHLY QUALIFIED APPLICANT" Kaya, galaw galaw din, wag puro reklamo sa agency/company, ireklamo mo din sarili mo baka nasa'yo ang kulang.
😉
KEEP YOUR APPLICATION UPDATED. WAG PURO STATUS, AGE, WEIGHT at PICTURE ANG E-UPDATE, DAPAT PATI WORK HISTORY AY UPDATED.
And, NEVER STOP LEARNING. JUST CONTINUE LEARNING.

And once again, "AT LEAST 2 YRS WORK EXPERIENCE IN A 5 STAR HOTEL/RESORT IS JUST AN ADVANTAGE, NOT A GUARANTEE". YOUR KNOWLEDGE & LEARNINGS IS THE ONLY KEY TO MAKE IT GUARANTEED.
Relax lang guys. Binibigyan lang natin ng idea yung nkararaming first timers. Just continue dreaming, aspirants! Good luck and God bless!
