An ethical subjectivist would say that if one commits to the princple of tolerance of Gandhi's words ,then it's deflection from ethical subjectivism and conforming more to ethical objectivism because one is adhering strictly to the universal principle of tolerance.
Gandhi is arguing from a position of ethical subjectivism as he in his words is saying that there is no hard and fast rule for truth. Truth is percieved by different individuals by different angles, hence, it's seen in fragments by each individual. This is the essence of ethical subjectivism as each individual has their own ethical values,so is each of the culture. Ethical subjectivism doesn't dictates what is wrong and what is right, but it respects the ethics of each individual and culture and this is expressed in Gandhi's words.
