equation:
x+y=50 kilos

let
x=50-y

multiply price
(17*x) + (27*y) = (21*50)

substitute x
17 * (50-y) + 27y = 1050

850 - 17y + 27y = 1050

850 +10y = 1050

10y = 1050 - 850

10y = 200

y = 20kilos CBA section

therefore:

x= 50 - 20

x = 30kilos CAS section


MIXTURE Problem (let x=water @ 0%)
10+x=y
20%(10)+0%(x)=5% y
0.20(10)=0.05y
2=0.05(10+x)
2=0.5+0.05x
2-0.5=0.05x
