Fans of the monster collecting phenomenon Pokémon will be happy to learn that the free-to-play, augmented reality game Pokémon Go from developer Niantic will be available to download for both Android and iOS this July. If you’re not familiar, Pokémon Go is an AR title that allows you to capture different Pokémon depending on your location, and the game is smart enough to assign different types of Pokemon relevant to the area where you are.
Unfortunately, Nintendo’s $34.99 Pokémon Go Plus wearable (that allows you to play the game without your phone) won’t be available at launch. Anyway, the there’s no solid release date in July – you’ll just have to pray to the Pokémon gods that it arrives sooner rather than later.
