ANDROID OPTIMIZATION
(Universal Guide for Android devices 2.0 -> 6.0)
Welcome. This is my debut post. Hahaha.
By following, reading or utilizing any and all information stated you agree to:
DOUBLE CHECK INSTRUCTIONS. - This is a must. Do remember that this tutorial utilizes root permission, which, when used alongside impatience and absolute stupidity, is detrimental to your device and my health. Using root privileges wrongly may result to a bricked phone, either soft or hard brick; which in turn you might not be able to fix because you yourself don't know what the problem is, and if you were to google or to report back to this thread all the information you'll be able to provide would be:
YOU WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE THAT YOU ARE DOING THIS UNDER YOUR OWN JURISDICTION:
Remember that it is you who had a faulty phone, it is you who decided to view this thread, and it is you who decided, under your own jurisdiction, decision, and will, to utilize the information written in this thread.
BE POLITE. - Not just to me, to other members who are also participating in this discussion. Retain educated behavior and mannerisms. May pinagaralan ka, di 'ba? 'wag asal hayop.
HUWAG PAIMPORTANTE.
Good. Kung hindi, balikan mo at basahin mo. Paki-intindi din. Okay?
Clearing the Dalvik/ART Cache
Supported versions: 2.0 -> 7.0 beta
(ROOT REQUIRED: NO)
- Force crash ba kamo? Nagloloko ang Google Apps (playstore, framework, services, etc..)? Phone overheating? Lags? Delays?

To clear the Cache:
1 - Power off the phone. Shut it down.
2 - Hold volume Up + Home button hanggang may lumitaw na Cyborg animation. Kung wala kang home button, volume Up will do just fine.
3 - May ganitong lalabas na screen depende sa recovery mo. In most cases, sa mga naka Touchwiz Stock (Samsung), ganito:
4 - Use the volume Up / Down keys to navigate. Hindi gumagana ang touchscreen mo dito. Highlight Wipe Cache, then press the power button. Then do the same for Dalvik / ART Cache. NOTE: MAGKAIBA ANG CACHE PARTITION SA DALVIK-CACHE / ART CACHE PARTITION. WIPE THESE SEPERATELY.
5 - Highlight reboot system now, then press power button.
NOTE: HINDI MAGKAKAPAREHO NG RECOVERIES ANG BAWAT PHONE AT BAWAT VENDOR, PERO GUARANTEED 100% NA MAY SETTING NA GANITO SA BAWAT ISA.
Trimming the File Systems
Supported versions: 4.3+
(ROOT REQUIRED: YES)
Eh Linux 'to, brad. Di na kailangan mag defrag? Oo, tama. Pero need parin ng Android ng mag TRIM ng NAND Flash to keep it in top shape. This is done automatically in the background by the system, kahit wala kang root. Pero in some ROMs hindi nagtritrim automatically ang system. So what's the workaround? TRIM it manually!
For the curious: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.
Steps to TRIM the NAND Flash:
1 - ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ROOT. AND YOU WILL BE GRANTING THE APP TO BE DOWNLOADED ROOT ACCESS.
2 - Download fstrim from the playstore.
3 - Run the app you downloaded. GRANT ROOT PERMISSIONS.
4 - Tick all the boxes and press TRIM NOW. Be greedy
NOTE: IF AN ERROR POPS UP, YOUR ROM IS INCOMPATIBLE. EITHER YOU HAVE A LEGACY SYSTEM (BELOW 4.3) WHICH DOES NOT NATIVELY SUPPORT TRIM, OR YOU HAVE SELINUX / KNOX IN THE WAY. IN WHICH CASE THIS METHOD DOES NOT PROCEED ANY FURTHER AND DOES NOT TRIM YOUR NAND, WHICH GUARANTEES THAT NO DAMAGE HAD BEEN DEALT TO YOUR NAND, AND YOU CAN REST EASY.
Mitsuyoshi Jubei's ext4 mod.

(ROOT REQUIRED: NO, ALL YOU NEED IS A CUSTOM RECOVERY, E.G CWM, TWRP, PHILZ)
- This is hard to explain. Refer to this post: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.
Download from here (navigate to the last segment of the first post and download the file that says "jubei_test_script_remove_journal.zip"): You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.

1 - Download the .zip from above.
2 - Wipe cache and dalvik cache as described above.
