In practice, malalaman mo lang yan kung i-connect mo yung RF input ng Cignal satellite dish sa kahit anong modern TV, "tvbox" like tvplus or affordabox. Though designed talaga sila to accept ISDB-T terrestial signals (as part of digital tv receiver functions), unless meron yang LNB IN sa likod di yan gagana. Yung SAT IN naman sa TV usually comes from the output of the sat-tranceiver. Dapat AIO yang tvbox na hawak mo for cable/satellite/over-the-air decoding.
Ang alam ko sa mga tvbox like affordabox and tvplus ay over-the-air tv tuners lang sila na mostly convert "analog" to "digital" (for old and new tv), lumakas yung coverage ng tv reception sa buong Pilipinas, provide extra channels for free....May may tutorials sa net na gagamit ng satellite dish in tandem with outdoor antenna to boost signal, pero di ko pa nasubukan yan. Yung paggawa ng antenna lang he he.
Di ba dapat manatili yung FTA channels sa Cignal Satellite transciever mo kahit wala kang subscription? Sa'kin noong Dream TV pa ganyan. Nawala lang yung iba pero local tv channels is still viewable. Basta ok pa rin yung tutok sa satellite transponder, tuloy ang FTA channel viewing.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
