SIM CARD REGISTRATION LAW
Under the SIM Card Registration Act, those who already own a SIM card would be required to register with telcos within a given period, while those who have yet to purchase one will be required to submit a valid identification document to the telcos and direct sellers.LINKS

REQUIREMENTS
PREPARE A SELFIE AND A PHOTOCOPY OF VALID ID AHEAD OF TIME. GLOBE HAS A LIMIT OF 2MB MAX FILE SIZE.To verify the identity of the end-user, they are required to present valid government-issued identification cards or documents with their photograph.
This includes the following:
- Passport
- Philippine Identification, Social Security Service ID
- Government Service Insurance System e-Card
- Driver’s license
- National Bureau of Investigation clearance
- Police clearance
- Firearms’ License to Own and Possess ID
- Professional Regulation Commission ID
- Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
- Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ID
- Bureau of Internal Revenue ID
- Voter’s ID
- Senior citizen’s card
- Unified Multi-purpose Identification Card
- Person with Disabilities card
- Other government-issued ID with photo
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- S3x
- Address
- Type of government ID presented + ID number
- Government ID with photo
- Declaration that the information presented are true and correct
SIM CARD REGISTRATION FOR MINORS
A SIM may be registered for minors, but it shall be under the name of their parents/guardians who gave their consent and are also registered.PENALTIES
All mobile subscribers must register their SIM cards or face deactivation after 180 days (6 months), starting December 27, 2022.The law details penalties for violations ranging from ₱100,000 to ₱1 million. Here are some of the offenses under the SIM Card Registration Act:
- Failure to register a SIM card
- Violation of confidentiality
- Registering a SIM card under false identities or with forged identification documents
- Impersonating a registered SIM card owner
- Reselling a stolen SIM card
- Selling or transferring a registered SIM card without first registering it
