What is SuperTuxKart?
SuperTuxKart (STK) is a free and open-source 3D kart racing game, distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL v3. It aims towards fun for players of all skill levels, with item boxes giving random items, nitro, drifting and more. STK offers an online multiplayer mode, a local multiplayer mode, and a single player mode against AIs with both custom races and a story mode to complete to unlock new karts and tracks. It features mascots of various open-source projects. It features Grand Prix where the goal is to get the most points over several races. The game also features additional game modes besides normal races: time trials, follow-the-leader, soccer, capture-the-flag and two types of battle mode. SuperTuxKart is cross-platform, running on Windows, Linux, macOS, any Android platforms (Mobile, Tablet, Smartwatch, Android TV, and ChromeOS) and Nintendo Switch (homebrew).System Requirements:
- Minimum Android version: 4.1 Jelly Bean (API 16). Supports later version of Android.
- Reqired Renderer: OpenGL ES 2.0 and above (Recommended: GLES 3.0+ for advanced pipelines and better performance).
- System Architectures: armeabi-v7a, arm64-v8a, x86, x86-64
- Download size: ~135 MB (single-arch), 170 MB (multi-arch), 357 MB (installed + extracted game files).
Recommended Requirements:
- Meets the CPU performance equivalent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 or MediaTek Helio G90 Series, or even more powerful chipset to deserve smooth online gameplay.
- At least 2 GB of Memory (RAM) or more is enough only in single game is open.
- At least 4 GB more of free storage for installing add-ons and feature updates.
Optional:
- A joystick/controller that support 6 buttons if you prefer playing with a controller.

Hardware Limitations:
- Depending on the chosen track with tons of rendering, the CPU performance might be the limitation depending on graphics card and graphics setting, mostly for online play which is more CPU-intensive. Good CPU performance helps ensure high framerate and more importantly smoothness.
- If you have weak GPU performance, you can lower the graphics quality or lower the game resolution in Settings > Graphics in order to exceed more than 60 FPS.
- If you have too old and slow chipset, you may struggle tons of lags and frame drops but you can still play in lowest settings and choose the less-intensive track instead.
