The correct sentence is “I do not know if I will go.”

In order to be correct, the sentence with “whether” should be “I do not know whether I will go or not.”

“Whether” always requires the use of “or not” while “if” does not.

Example: “I wonder if you believe me” stands alone, whereas “I wonder whether you believe me or not” needs the “or not.”
