I turned 25 on December 2, 2018 and didn’t realize that my life had changed. It didn’t come suddenly. As I progressed through the year, each day I started to think about my life (and make choices) in a way that I never did for my previous 24 years on this blue ball. Here are a few of those things.

I learned the importance of self-acceptance.

I look at myself with fresh eyes. I see my beauty internally and externally.

I learned to stand up for myself while still respecting others.

I’ve slowed down and enjoy myself.

I learned that my life is my life. It’s not meant to be lived to “please” others.

I’m content with where I am right now as I type this sentence.

I realize that life is a journey and every second is worth celebrating.

I’ve learned to let go of the past while still using it as a lesson.

I’m loving myself in ways that I never knew were possible.

I accept every single day as a gift that was never promised to me.

I know that I am not meant to be accepted by every human on the planet.

I shine my light in spite of the negativity and ignorance.

I want my final breath on this planet to be filled with positive thoughts.

If I never reach all of my goals, it’s okay.

I look inward and know that all of the answers I seek are inside of me.

Unleash the best in you 💖🥰
