Hello! It's great that you're looking for ways to help your sibling stay connected while working on a ship. Here are some tips on how they can access the internet using their phone while on board:

1. Wi-Fi Hotspots: Encourage your sibling to check if the ship has Wi-Fi hotspots available. Some ships offer internet access for crew members, although it may come at a cost. They can inquire with the ship's management about the availability and pricing of onboard Wi-Fi.

2. Mobile Data Plans: If the ship is in an area with cellular coverage, your sibling can purchase a local SIM card with a data plan that suits their needs. They can use this SIM card in an unlocked phone to access the internet. However, be mindful of roaming charges if the ship travels to different countries.

3. Satellite Internet: Some ships offer satellite internet services for crew members to stay connected while at sea. Your sibling can inquire with the ship's communication department about the availability of such services and the associated costs.

4. Internet Cafes: Some ports may have internet cafes where crew members can access the internet at a more affordable rate compared to onboard services. Your sibling can explore this option when the ship docks at ports.

5. Offline Communication: In cases where accessing the internet is not feasible or costly, your sibling can consider offline communication methods such as sending emails during port visits, using messaging apps that work offline, or scheduling regular calls when they have access to internet services.

It's essential to prioritize safety and follow the ship's guidelines regarding internet usage while on board. Encourage your sibling to communicate with the ship's management or IT department for the best options available to stay connected within their budget.
